Working at More Air Studio, the brief was to design Nokia Team Comms - a team communications app for challenging environments like ports or construction sites. My role as Product Design Lead was to establish the UX and user testing framework, and build out the UI and flows for the app for build. I explored the brand elements and ‘waveform’ as a key component, looking at ways of visualising voice in simple and unique way to give the app a distinct look-and-feel.

Working with other members of the Nokia design team, we then iterated and refined the flows to produce a consistent and well considered final design before build. The result was a robust and user-friendly app that works in extreme working environments without the need for internet connectivity, offering safe and reliable communication to teams and workers. The app got recognised for an iF Design Award for User Experience.
